If you wanted yet another thing to do, you could turn all of your blog posts into a (very large) book and then you could close down your site. I’d buy the book! But yeah, massive undertaking and time suck. I wouldn’t wish that on you. You seem to have a lovely life and why monkey with that? But it will definitely be sad when the site goes. Your subscribers could help fund the site but we can’t do anything about the carbon….
You summed up the entire dilemma perfectly. Massive time suck to turn it into a book — and also hard to see all the posts vanish. Thank you for being interested in it either way, and for understanding!
Yes, isn't it interesting - how we find things right in front of us that we didn't see before because we weren't looking - or open enough to find them! Who knows what might appear before our eyes and ears? A magic carpet ride? A 20 foot high sunflower strong enough to climb? A natural loom in the forest, just waiting for a weaver to come along? Who knows? As Beryl knows, there's magic all around!
And now do I ever want to come up on that natural forest loom and see what wants to be woven, then come home and plant the sunflower so I can climb to the top… Oh the bliss of possibility. Thanks.
Your skills are legion, your magical runner entirely lovely, yet I can’t believe that anyone in the universe ever delighted in the existence of eight track tapes!
I only know one person who loved her 8 track tape player—and that because she had spent thirty years living in the middle of hte wilderness where everything had to come in on the back of a mule or in a tiny plane, and there was no place to throw anything away so whatever she had, she cherished. Of course I knew her in the early 1980s, so CDs (and digital tunes were still in the future!
I love the magic carpet. I bet if you made the next one bigger, Beryl would still like to sit on you. And thanks for bringing back the archives - I think they are very inspiring. I am grateful they are here now, cause everything is temporary!
Another Tuesday delight, and thanks for bringing back the Field Guide and your webstore! I think I'll try a sweater, somewhat slanted next. Suitable for odds and ends you say? I've got a lot of those and everyone has hats!
As I was listening to your scissors, I thought the quality of the listening might be second only to your walks with Beryl. Both provide a quiet, soothing, peaceful moment. Beautiful. Thank you.
I love love love the sound of scissors munching fabric on a table. And the soft plunky sound of the warp being cut. Thank you for the soft and lovely place to land for a while today. Needed it.

Scissor sheers, dowel drops and crows caws, surreal sounds paired with dreamy sketches,.... so close to family❤️😊
Man, that is some satisfying scissoring...
Sarah, I loved the sound of the scissors cutting! Delicious!
“Swoops them off to the land of unrecorded dreams”, how utterly beautiful - makes my heart flipflop! (And it is a glorious little rug too)!🥰
Thank you Val😊
Lovely post and thanks for the links!!!

You’re right. She probably would. She’s a snuggler for sure.
And thank you for your kind words about the archive!

Oh golly, thank you for this! I never know if my auditory pleasures are shared by others — so much appreciate your words. And scissors…. yum.

And thank you for being here—and for writing. So glad.
