Thank you Beryl and Sarah. I needed that quiet walk through the crisp pines to distract me, even for a few minutes of this pain I am carrying for my daughter and her family from this tragic loss. I don't even have energy for flicking some fleece right now, even though it looks so luscious. I have no words..............
Sometimes the trees and earth and damp duff are the only things a person can handle. And thank goodness they are here. Sending hope that you can find respite now and again, however brief. I'm just so sorry.
That amazing black shiny fleece is such a different creature that it is hard to imagine quite how it would play with the cormo (which at the moment is is fully involved in it's own knitting project), but they are both such glorious examples of themlsves that, well, who knows?
Good girl, Beryl, and I know your patience is appreciated! I'm sure you'll benefit from all that delicious fleece. ... I'm knitting a red resistance hat right now! Read about the Minneapolis knitters, got the pattern, and discovered a couple skeins of long forgotten commercial red merino hiding in a box on the top shelf. Dancing needles! ☺️
Ha! fantastic! So happy to think of your needles busily clicking away in resistance. And then you get to wear it. A friend of mine made one a couple of weeks ago too. So inspiring.
I love all of your posts and Beryl’s guest posts are delightful.
I knit the resistance hat this week and it’s currently drying after its bath. A friend asked me to knit at least six hats to be worn at the next No Kings rally in March. Red non-superwash wool is becoming scarce.
Beryl my dear, you and that beautiful rock you are standing on in the opening picture must have come from the same litter!!! The similarity in colors and pattern are rather amazing! And then there is the patience you both have for the world around you! I so appreciate your understanding Sarah's needs and habits. Enjoy your newly fluffed-up and freshened bed! Big hugs and fresh sticks! :-)
I'm excited to see what that 13" square becomes!
me too!

Nicely written, Beryl - You do such a nice job of keeping Sarah in line...
Doesn't she though!
I LOVE the photo of your happy, smiley pup!
Eileen, this is Sue Jensen from SWG praying for you.
Love the locks Sarah! Continue to have fun, Spin On (oh and Weave On too!)
Ooooh. That Romney fleece looks stunning. I have never seen one so black and shiny.
Are you going to mix it in the loom with that lovely Cormo you were spinning last days?
Beryl looks absolutely gorgeous, too.

Whoot! Well done you. Wouldn't that just be fantastic to see them all together at the rally.

Isn't that amazing-- how Beryl matches/ almost disappears into that rock? Granite camouflage...
To be born with ‘granite camouflage’ …. is pretty close to shape shifting in my book! :-)
Is that a lake twinkling through the trees on the rifht in the earlier section of the video?
What an eye! Yes, you can just catch a glint of the river that flows out of the huge lake off across those fields.
Such a nice way for me to take a morning break . . . thank you, Beryl! tee hee
What a joy to share your process! Thank you so much for brightening my winter day!
Love the wool!!!!
Such a fun perspective! 🐕
Beryl writes the best posts!
