Sarah, I adore that tapestry; in the midst of an incredibly challenging time, I'm seeing such wonderful expressions of community. Brava for yours. And congrats on a year in your new house. who knew?
The year in your new house seems to have flown by (at least from this perspective). And that tapestry is gorgeous. If you ever want to sell it, please let me know. I probably can't afford it, but a girl can dream, right?
It has felt like the year has flown by to me too as i still feel like I just got here. But it’s nice to measure. And thank you for your kind words about the tapestry!
You are just amazing Sarah, all that you accomplish and create. You have always been such an inspiration to so many. Thank you for sharing your life and love of fiber with us. xoxoxo Deb
When I first started reading I thought you had some glow in the dark yarn you were going to put into the tapestry! ha ha.
You're spinning is so perfect and fine. What sett did you use on K2tog? I still have my fringeless piece on my loom and hoping to finish soon. Thanks as always for the peace.
The trails were all bare—until yesterday when we got a nice dump with, apparently , more to come. Not fun for the shoveling muscles but good for future fire season and all the other thigns we need snowpack for. Whew!
The tapestry is wonderful. The wool colors are very nice. It is so interesting on what the eye fills in when there is not a line! Thanks. I would not guess you've been in your new spot a year already!
It really is fun to play with an ‘imaginary’ line—either letting a slit do the work, or the implied line from others that end. Something that never ceases to interest me.
What a perfect tapestry and manifesto for these times. ❤️ ... Also, I do admire the apparent simplicity of your new existence. No empty loom angst, what a concept! (I've lived here over 20 years and filled my studio space with more than enough for another 20 years, but I'm slowly accepting that I can't do everything at the same time.).... What seeds are you sprouting?
Happy one year anniversary Sarah!!! I remember the snowy start to your first year! It is wonderful to see how you and Beryl have made a home of your new digs!
Must say, that all you have put into your simply wonderful K tog, A Manifesto tapestry is a kind of treasure chest of inspiration to press on when the iron is hot!!! All this and micro greens and mossy rocks and babbling brooks!!! I am quite charmed with it all!!!
Gosh thank you Sandy—on all counts! Wildly, it just started snowing again, so it feels very much like it did a year ago in my first week in the house. Properly winter again…

Thank you so much Sue. And I agree—watching people pull together is so heart-lifting. How not to want to be part of it?
Just beautiful

And thank you Debra. Gosh. Blush!

Ha! Yes, that fly line backing is a bit overwhelming. I used to be able to find it in white, but now it seems all to be this neon yellow.
The sett is 9 epi. Good luck with your fringeless piece.
It's February, isn't there supposed to be snow on that trail? Hope there's snow at the top of the Selkirks or it's going to be a very dry fire season.

Sarah, I just love this….
I mean, I always appreciate your musings and makings, but I really really really love this little specimen 😍.
"When in doubt, spin yarn" Amen to that!
NICE!

Oh but the desire to do everything at once is sometimes almost overwhelming, isn’t it? How to narrow down—even when it feels like I already have????
The seeds—not sure exactly. A friend gave me a baggie labeled “seeds for microgreens” .a mix for sure. Radish? Arugula? Definitely spicy ones…
Quite so! So many possibilities!

Sometimes art is everything. Thank you for this.
Wow... love love this tapestry. Thank you for sharing this wonderful piece 💓
Just…. Beautiful and inspiring.
I love a good shadow walk, bubbling brook & did I see a little cocoon? You and Beryl have found a slice of heaven!
I can feel the presence you have in your life—it’s inspiring. Thank you for sharing your art and conveying how it permeates your life.
